Dear oSTEM members! We are going to field some queer rec sports teams next quarter. So far there have been an interest in indoor soccer and ice hockey, so we will probably field those sports. They also play basketball, wallyball (like volleyball), innertube water polo, and indoor cricket. So, if you are interested in playing hockey or soccer or want to play any of the other sports happening next quarter, then send an email to rosenfeld@math.osu.edu with your name and email. Also, if you are interested in hockey, also give your phone number (as hockey is organized differently). For hockey, no experience or skating ability or equipment or teeth are required. Note: if you have given your info already, you do not need to do it again. Additionally, we are thinking of holding a queer/science/academic conference. At this point, we are forming a committee to plan and organize. If you have any interest in helping plan such a conference, please contact rosenfeld@math.osu.edu with your email and we'll put you in the loop. . Also, oSTEM is able to get funds to bring in speakers, so if there is someone queer in your field you would like to bring in to speak or if you want us to find someone queer in your field to come up and give a talk, tell us and we should be able to help you out.
